The Law Offices of Adam Edward Rothwell - Green Cards

A permanent residence visa is commonly referred to as Green Card. Receiving a green card entitles the holder to live and work in the United States of America permanently.

A green card gives a foreign citizen the ability to hold almost any job in the US. Practically the only positions that a green card holder cannot hold are jobs that specifically require US Citizenship, such as employment at the US Department of Justice. Additionally, a green card enables a foreign citizen to travel internationally (in and out of the US) with little risk.

A green card holder is also eligible for work, health, education and other benefits and rights. Green card holders may later apply for U.S. Citizenship and Passport.

Foreign citizens may receive green cards through work, family, by winning the green card lottery and/or by having an application for asylum approved. Our law firm has helped many people throughout the world receive green cards. Please contact us if you have more questions are to schedule a consultation.
